The multi award-winning Harpenden and Wheathampstead Gang Show returns to the Eric Morecambe Centre from 12th to 16th January 2027 for its record breaking 77th Show.
Officially recognised as the longest continuously running Gang Show in the world, the show has entertained local audiences every year since 1949 and remains one of the local communities’ most anticipated cultural events.
This year’s production will bring together a cast of 143 talented Cubs, Scouts and Explorers aged 9-18 for six spectacular performances packed with music, dance, comedy and creativity. Audiences can expect high energy routines, upbeat songs, colourful costumes, laughs and a few surprises that are a long-held show tradition.
Widely regarded as one of the best Gang Shows in the UK, the production is made possible by more than 100 dedicated volunteers and provides young people with valuable opportunities to build confidence, develop teamwork skills and create lifelong memories.
Over its remarkable 77-year history, the Harpenden and Wheathampstead Gang Show has involved more than 4,000 young people, raising funds to contribute to local Scouting activities and helping generations of young people gain skills for life.
