The Harpenden Highland Gathering 2026 returns to Rothamsted Park on Sunday 12 July, bringing a full day of Scottish-themed entertainment, traditional Highland Games and community fundraising to Harpenden.
Organised by Harpenden Lions Club, the Highland Gathering is a long-running local event and charity fundraiser that attracts visitors from across Hertfordshire and beyond. Set in Rothamsted Park, the event combines Scottish culture, family entertainment and live performances in a lively outdoor setting.
Visitors can enjoy many traditional Highland Games activities, including pipe bands, Highland dancing and arena displays, alongside stage performances and children’s events. The 2026 event also includes a variety of family attractions and activities, with food, drink and market stalls adding to the festival atmosphere.
The Highland Gathering supports charitable causes through fundraising and community involvement, continuing Harpenden Lions Club’s long-standing commitment to local and wider charitable work.
Taking place from 10:30am to 5:00pm at Rothamsted Park, the Harpenden Highland Gathering 2026 remains one of the town’s best-known summer events and a popular day out celebrating Scottish traditions, entertainment and community spirit.
