Sunday 11 July 2027, 10.30am to 5pm
Harpenden Lions Club has announced that the Highland Gathering returns to Rothamsted Park on Sunday 11 July 2027, running from 10.30am to 5pm. The 2026 Gathering took place on Sunday 12 July.
What to expect
The Highland Gathering is a long-running Scottish-themed family day and one of Harpenden’s best-known summer events. It raises money for charity through Harpenden Lions Club.
Highlights in recent years have included pipe bands, Highland dancing and arena displays, Scots Corner stalls, archery and bowling, children’s entertainment such as face painting, a fun maze and rides, and craft stalls from local makers. A wide range of food and drink stalls runs throughout the day.
Getting there
The Gathering is held in Rothamsted Park, Harpenden, AL5 2LX, a short walk from the town centre. The organisers point visitors to parking at the railway station.
See the Harpenden Lions Club Highland Gathering page for tickets and the latest programme.
