Harpenden Photographic Society was founded more than 80 years ago and is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain and the Chilterns Association of Camera Clubs. It has around 90 members of all abilities, and prospective members can attend up to two meetings before joining.
The society meets at the Harpenden Trust Centre, 90 Southdown Road, on the first and third Tuesday of the month from September to June, with sessions starting at 8pm. Its programme includes guest speakers, internal and external competitions, an annual exhibition, and special interest groups covering macro, street and outdoor photography.
