The Gibraltar Castle is a pub on Lower Luton Road in Batford dating from 1799, retaining oak beams, bread ovens and an open fireplace from a building once used partly as a jail. It is run by licensee Ross Macinnes.
The kitchen serves separate lunch, evening and Sunday menus, with Sunday roasts a regular feature, alongside real ales and wine. It is closed on Mondays, open Tuesday to Sunday from midday, with later closing Thursday to Saturday, and has front and back outdoor seating plus free parking.
