Harpenden’s Christmas Carnival returns on Sunday 22 November 2026, running from 12pm to 6pm in the town centre. Organised by Harpenden Town Council, the day marks the start of the festive season and includes the switch-on of the town’s Christmas lights.
Expect street stalls and family entertainment across the High Street and Lydekker Park, plus a festive procession led by pipes and drums, with Santa and his elves close behind.
The November Harpenden Farmers’ Market also takes place as part of the carnival, trading from 12pm to 6pm instead of its usual morning hours.
The carnival is free to attend and everyone is welcome. For the full programme as it is announced, visit the Harpenden Town Council Christmas page.
