The Inn on the Green is a Greene King pub on Leyton Road overlooking Harpenden’s village green, close to the High Street and train station. The building has served the town for centuries, previously operating as a hardware store and later as Mary Ellen’s tearooms before its conversion to a pub.
It serves classic pub food alongside cask ales, craft beers, wines and cocktails, with several named rooms, including Mary Ellen’s Tearoom and The Library, available to book for private events. It is dog-friendly, has disabled access and a beer garden, and stays open later on Fridays and Saturdays.
